Enrichment Programs

World Languages: Spanish & Chinese (Mandarin) – Optional

Spanish and Chinese are introduced to the children daily in a playful and interactive way. Children have fun with the languages through singing, counting, art projects, holiday celebrations, vocabulary-building activities and conversations.   We gradually present the “who, what, where, when and how” of the Hispanic and Chinese cultures to build cultural awareness and promote cultural diversity.

Jamaroo Kids- Dance and Creative Movement

Dance and Creative Movement Class is offered to all students each week.  Dance instructors from Jamaroo Kids guide children in exploring their sense of space, awareness of health and body and development of creativity.  Gross and fine motor skills are developed through differing forms of dance such as ballet.  Multi-cultural music and various dance equipment is provided at each session.  Please visit www.jamarookids.com for more information.

Little Chefs

Cooking dishes from around the world is an essential part of our weekly activities.  Children learn valuable math, language and fine motor skills while discovering many cultural aspects of the world they are in.   Salvadorian pupusas, Armenian coconut cake and Russian tea cakes are a few of the children’s favorite recipes we have prepared.

Soccer Shots

Soccer Shots is an optional extracurricular activity. They utilize creative and imaginative games to focus on basic soccer skills like dribbling, passing, and shooting. They also highlight a positive character trait each session such as respect, teamwork, and appreciation. Through fun games, songs and positive reinforcement, children will begin to experience the joy of playing soccer and being active. Please visit www.soccershots.org for more information.

Pre-Ballet is an optional extracurricular activity for students at Creative Montessori Preschool. The Pre-Ballet Program combines creativity and imagination with age appropriate ballet terminology and exercises, and discipline. Students will focus on socialization, teamwork, learning appropriate dance etiquette, develop movement fundamentals, marching in rhythm to the music, and learning special awareness. The curriculum enhances both cognitive and physical development. Classes are 45 minutes and are held at the school once a week.
